how to tell if your dog has curly or wavy fur :
-
Some curly coats repel water more effectively, which is common in breeds like Poodles and Portuguese Water Dogs.
-
Because of the tight curls, their coat may tangle or mat if not brushed regularly.
-
Curly-coated dogs have hair that forms ringlets, waves, or tight curls instead of lying flat or straight. The curls may cover their entire body or just certain areas.
-
The coat often feels soft but dense, with a springy or bouncy quality.
-
Curly-coated dogs tend to shed less than straight-coated breeds, as their hair grows continuously and gets trapped in the curls.
-
If you're unsure, you can check behind the ears, on the legs, or the back—these areas often show a dog’s natural curl pattern. You can ask us or contact the vet for confirmation! 😊

You should leave your current groomer for these following reasons:
WE ARE HONESTY :
We will keep you informed! We promise clear communication about their coat, grooming needs, and any challenges we might face. We want you and your pup to have realistic expectations. Whether discussing the benefits of regular grooming or talking about possible matting. Honesty in grooming is as important as good grooming!
NO KENNEL DRYING -
Our goal is to make pets feel at ease while still providing excellent services. We use towel drying, and blow dryers that are set to room temperature with dog ear covers.

We exclusively use ethically sourced Shampoos, Conditioners, and Body Mists that are cruelty free, vegan, and free from harsh chemicals. These products help to maintain the natural texture and health of your dog's fur, preventing damage and promoting a beautiful, shiny coat.

Following these steps would help your dog look fabulous while feeling comfy, because pampering shouldn’t just look good—it should feel good too! 🐾✨
A week or two before the grooming session, brush your dog’s coat to remove tangles and loose hair. This helps make the grooming process smoother and less stressful. Spend time touching your dog’s paws, ears, and tail to make them comfortable with being handled in those areas.
After the grooming appointment, brush your dog’s coat regularly at least 2-3 times a week to prevent matting using quality products ( see recommendations ).
Ensure your dog stays hydrated with plenty of fresh water to help keep their skin healthy.
Schedule regular grooming appointments to keep their coat in top shape, and don’t forget to check for any tangles or discomfort between visits.
